Seat Lowering Cams

I`ve found that the GS (and GSA) is a very `focusing` bike regarding bike height for anyone who is under 5`9" - although there are very many accomplished riders out there who isn`t phased by this I certainly am and I do know there are a few other riders who feel the same.
Although the right answer is to get the bike professionally lowered I found that every little increment of getting the seat a little lower to the ground helped.
To this end I have developed some `cams` (as I call them) which offsets the height of the front of the seat by 10mm closer to the floor. It doesn`t sound much but it does translate to having more of your foot in contact with the ground which for me was a good thing.
They are easy-ish to fit with 3 going on one side of the bracket `pin` and 3 on the other side. They replace the OEM rubber bungs but hang onto these just in case you need to put your seat back to the original height. Once I`d fitted mine I put some electricians tape around the outside but its not needed as they don`t move.
Regarding fitting there is one thing you need to be aware of - the height setting bracket on the bike is cast so that the spigot which the cams fit onto can have a large tolerance (or in other words the diameter can vary) meaning that you may have to fettle either the spigot or the cams to get them to fit.
I`ve had mine fitted for about 3 months now and they seem to work a treat!
