S1000XR Digital Display Anti-Theft Brace

When the S1000RR was launched, there was a lot of evidence showing that the digital display clocks, sadly, were easily and quickly being stolen, and then sold on eBay! This seemed to be happening in the larger cities and I designed a brace to reduce the number of thefts, and this product sold quite well.

On buying my S1000XR when the model was launched in 2015 it was clear the clocks display was the same and only held in by a couple of `hand removable` clips on the reverse of the unit. Thankfully BMW quickly acted and added a plastic cover over these but it's still not hard to steal the clocks once this cover is off.

What I did was redesign the established S1000RR clocks display anti theft brace so that it now fits the S1000XR. It's not easy to fit, requiring the removal of side panels and the screen but once fitted will make it almost impossible to remove the clocks without special tools as the fasteners holding the brace on are hidden by the bracket itself. So, even if the easily accessible clips are removed the clocks cannot be removed as the brace itself stops this.

The S1000XR Gen 1 anti theft brace comes with installation instructions and full complement of fasteners. No drilling is required, and I`m always on the end of a phone to help talk you through fitting if needs be, but I do offer a fitting service at very reasonable rates.

As always, this product is laser profiled from high grade 304 stainless steel, hand refinished, CNC formed, and then powder coated satin black to offer the discreet blend in look.
 

These clocks are many hundreds of pounds to replace, so we strongly advise the use of a protective device such as this.
