R1250GS(A) Main Stand Security Locking Modification & Refurbishment

Our Main Stand Locking Lug provides a low key additional level of security. One small modification to your main stand provides a secure location to lock a padlock, making it impossible to take the bike off of the centre stand. Throw an alarmed padlock on here also and any thieves should be instantly deterred!

• A small locking lug designed for a 12mm (recommended) or smaller diameter padlock to lock against the main frame of the bike.
• Prevents anyone from taking the bike off of its main stand.
• Looks factory fitted.
• Once modified, the entire stand is then professionally refurbished and powder coated (looks like new).
• Minor welding repairs done for free!

A fellow rider approached us with what we thought was a really good idea.
It was his intention to see if we could come up with something that would prove to be beneficial to us all in slowing down the possibility of thieves stealing our bikes.

With his very kind blessing we have come up with a quick and easy to use additional security option/alternative that is so good it even looks like it`s a factory fit!

Once fitted, the shank of the padlock locks against the frame making it impossible to get the bike off its main stand. (We`ve used a 12mm straight shank as it butts against the frame better) Obviously if the thieves want the bike they will get it but we think that this will be a great option for additional security that we can all take to make the bike even harder to pinch. I (Mark) think it`s such a good idea that I modified the stand on my bike straight away!

Most padlocks can be used if the shank fits (we recommend a 12mm diameter for snug fitting), even alarmed ones and ones of different security grades can be used!

The work needed requires a high standard of welding, a laser profiled lug and any necessary refurbishment of your main stand, resulting in what looks like an original factory fit and an `as new` main stand. (By the way the replacement BMW OEM stands are over £200 each!). We`ve not looked to do this cheaply or quickly, and we certainly haven't tried to cut corners, all so that it looks perfect and an original part of the bike!

We will require your original BMW main stand (please remove and retain the rubber stop and springs) and once ordered, send to the address below. Approx lead time of two weeks from receipt of your stand.
