R1200GS(A) Side Stand Foot Plate (Standard or Height Adjustable)

This is a good idea for anyone who parks their bike on grass or soft mud.

The `foot` for the side stand spreads the weight of the bike over a greater area therefore stopping the side stand from sinking into sand or soft ground.

I used to use a `loose` plate which I have slipped under the side stand when parking but this is much more convenient as it is a permanent fixture to the bike.

It is made from a hard wearing stainless steel with an aluminium spacer in between which hold the foot plate securely onto the side stand itself.

It is all held together using stainless steel fasteners. 

A few fellow GS riders asked me if I could come up with a solution to the problem of the bike sitting too far over on the stand.

There is a choice of the standard footplate (which includes one single 6MM base plate) or a height adjustable one, which includes an additional 6MM plate to act as a spacer, giving you a maximum height increase of 12MM depending on if one or both packers were used.

So, the product offers the following features:

• It acts as a weight spreader when using the side stand on soft ground.
• It allows you to adjust the lean of the bike when on the side stand (height adj. version only)
