The 'Touring' front engine protector, for all R-series 1200 and 1250 GS/A Liquid Cooled models 2014 to present, we feel is an essential addition to your GS/A LC as it stops the majority of "road rash" from stripping the finish off the leading edge of the front of your engine casing, leaving the bare alloy open to the elements and free to become oxidized, which looks absolutely terrible and is also very expensive to sort out too!
We titled this product `Touring` as it is larger than the earlier and smaller `sports` one, as it extends higher up the engine giving better protection to the bottom of the engine case.
They are laser profiled from high grade 304 stainless steel, CNC formed, and either machined brushed and hand refinished, or finished in a satin black powder coat.
This Front Engine Protector locates on 4 of the existing fastening points and is a very easy installation. It comes with a full complement of fasteners and instruction leaflet.
Top tip - we recommend you apply ACF50 onto the engine casing before fitting the engine protector, ensuring the best guard against corrosion, especially for the winter.

BLACK FINISH PARTICULARLY SUITS THE 1250 GSA ENGINE FINISH. VERY LITTLE CLEARANCE ON THE CENTRE STAND WHEN A FENDER EXTENDER IS FITTED BUT FINE WHEN THE FRONT IS COMPRESSED SLIGHTLY.

Great bit of kit
Had one of these on my last bike, and have bought another for the new steed. Does a great job in protecting the engine and looks the part too. Would definitely recommend.

Easy fitment and looks great, matching the engine colour perfecrtly. Quality product.
The only thing I have changed is the socket headed screws for round heads as I think they look better. But that is my personal preference and not a critisism.

A must have...
Just fitted one of these to my new GS 1250 - have always put these 'crud catchers' on all my previous GSs and this, along with the fender extender, both do a great job of keeping the muck off the engine and making it so much easier to clean/maintain. Would highly recommend, the black looks fab on my Rallye :)
