This kit is designed only for all liquid cooled R-Series GS and GS Adventure models 2014 to 2023. It is not compatible with Pre liquid cooled models, or the R1300GS.
This adjustable windscreen strengthening brackets kit has proved extremely durable and reliable since its introduction shortly after the launch of the liquid cooled GS model in 2014. It quickly became very popular due to its effectiveness and full adjustment range. It continues to be one of our biggest sellers and we post many of these kits to customers all over the world.
Extremely good value for money, this adjustable windscreen strengthening kit is intended to help minimize the terrible windscreen oscillation that the GS LC range have always been prone to at normal road speed, or in some proven cases actually stop it completely, while still allowing you the freedom and convenience of adjusting your windscreen height to its maximum travel either up or down whilst on the move.
All you need to do is slightly loosen each thumb screw, adjust the screen to your preferred height, and then fully tighten each thumb screw immediately after (otherwise they will vibrate loose, drop out and you will lose them).
The kit comes with a comprehensive installation leaflet and full complement of fasteners. We also recommend removing the front winglet/deflector assembly prior to installation as this helps a lot with visibility and access.
It is a very simple installation, there is no cutting or drilling involved, and the kit will only fit one way! We do have an installation guide video on our YouTube channel 'Cymarc Bike Parts', plus we are also available by phone and/or email if you do get stuck.

*Note, we have added an option feature for you to select between the R1200 and the R1250. This is because the kit needs to be very slightly different between the two.

I ordered the kit not long after getting the bike, as the screen seemed to bounce about rather a lot. Since fitting the kit it is very stable. I was impressed with the quality and ease of fitting, simple and clear fitting instructions helped.
So a big improvement for a small price, I'm very happy to recommend the kit.

Very worthwhile!
Added this to support the standard screen on my R1250GS, and has most definitely made a big difference. Screen is much more "solid" now on the move, the only downside being of course that you have to loosen both the thumb screws to adjust the screen on the move (and be sure to do them up firmly afterwards, which with the screen on full depression can be a little awkward. But overall a worthwhile modification, so much better now the screen is nice and firm when travelling at speed.

Top notch product with some drawbacks
Excellent fit and finish, easy to install. The product works as intended but does make it impossible to adjust your screen one-handed. the friction by the curved rails makes it too hard for the BMW mechanism that operates the lowering and raising of the screen to move. It is not considered a problem for me as I tend to adjust the screen to one middle to high setting and keep it there for the ride, occasionally dropping it down before doing a stint off the beaten paths.
