This is a `foot` for the side stand which spreads the weight of the bike over a greater area therefore stopping the side stand from sinking into sand or soft ground.
I`ve always used a `loose` plate which I have slipped under the side stand when parking but this is much more convenient as it is a permanent fixture.
It is made from a hard wearing stainless steel with an aluminium spacer in between which hold the foot plate securely onto the side stand itself.
It is all held together using stainless steel fasteners. The fasteners lock into position which means that plain round headed fasteners can be used which aids removal of the foot plate when it requires removal.
