This is an engine cover to keep the lower front of the engine protected from all the stuff which gets thrown at it for an R1200C.
I have seen reports of badly corroded parts on the front of the engine so it seemed a good idea and is based on the success of the crud catcher I have made for the GS range.
It is very similar to the ones for the GS range however it uses a different installation kit due to the down pipes. The one in the image is one fitted to a clients bike I did in September 2010.
It is made from 1.2mm thick high quality stainless steel. It is laser cut to ensure stunning accuracy. It is then bent, by hand, on a CNC press brake with each angle being checked by a craftsperson and finally it is hand finished by me to give it a polished yet lightly brushed appearance. The hand finishing can take the best part of an hour to get the best finish depending on original surface condition. I cannot find anything else similar on the net at this time with the laser cut R1200C logo which I have put into the top of the cover. It comes with replacement high quality stainless steel fasteners, spring washers and spacers.
