I decided to add an oil cooler cover to the radiator cover (which can be purchased seperately) to both enhance the look of the bike and to replace what is a really horrible standard cover. I have improved greatly on the standard cover by making one out of 2mm thick stainless (the standard one is flimsy wire mesh and rusts terribly).
The image shows both the radiator cover (upper cover) and the oil cooler cover (lower cover) fitted to a KLV 1000cc bike.
The radiator cover locates on the 2 side fastener points and the bottom bracket on the radiator itself.
The oil cooler cover locates on the 2 upper rubber sheathed fixing points and the single lower fastener point. The lower fastener is a mild steel screw and is horrible, rusts and is an absolute pig to get out so care must be taken. A replacement stainless fastener, which is much easier to remove in the future if need be, is supplied. Fitting instructions for both covers are supplied.
It normally takes me a good hour to drill out badly rusted screws and retap for a replacement fastener at my factory. If you do have problems and can get to me I`ll do all this work for free because I know what a pig it can be.
